CHARACTER INFO
Name: Kaywinnit Lee "Kaylee" Frye
Alias: Just Kaylee, please!
Fandom: Firefly AU
PB: Jewel Staite

Age: 18
Grade: Junior because she got held back a year.

Powers: Technopathy! Kaylee can communicate with machines of all sorts, though her favorites are car and other combustion engines. She's not as good at computers, because they don't interest her as much.

General Personality: A WALKING RAY OF SUNSHINE. No really, Kaylee is like, genuinely the nicest person you will ever meet. She wants to be friends with everyone, and is likely to bring out the protective instincts in the people around her. She's cheerful in a way that somehow rarely becomes cloying or obnoxious.

She's also a very tactile, sensual young woman, and mostly does her machinery communication through touch. But beyond that, she loves touching, tasting, looking and smelling - she's honestly a bit of a hedonist, and she also enjoys sexual experimentation.

She's not stupid, by any means, but she doesn't learn well in an environment that forces her to sit still and absorb information fed to her by a teacher, and she's not a very good reader, so she often finds herself in remedial classes and got held back a year when she flunked freshman English.

History: Raised in rural Oklahoma by a widower who runs a garage, and four older brothers, Kaylee had a happy childhood running around and fiddling with old engine parts until her father realized her abilities were getting far beyond what he'd be able to teach her, and he took the opportunity to send her to Stu's for a better education than what she'd have otherwise been able to get.

comments
